ARPRO On-site Expansion Grades

On-site expansion grades cut costs with flexible, efficient moulding

ARPRO On-site Expansion grades offer cost and transport savings, expanding close to the point of moulding while delivering the same performance as ARPRO Black grades of the same density.

The material is shipped at its original bulk density and then expanded with steam at the moulding site to achieve densities as low as 16g/l. This approach significantly reduces transport volume and costs, while also enabling efficient moulding through precise control over final density.

The two ARPRO On-site Expansion grades ARPRO 5253 and ARPRO 5275 are engineered for energy-efficient, cost-effective moulding. By expanding only what is needed, when it’s needed, manufacturers can tailor the material’s density for optimal part performance and material use. Both grades are available with 30% recycled content from post-consumer EPP waste, supporting circular economy goals and helping to reduce plastic waste and CO₂ emissions.

On-site expansion gives moulders complete control over every stage of the process from initial bead expansion to part tolerances and moulding performance, without compromising on ARPRO’s trusted mechanical properties and durability.
