At JSP, we are committed to mitigating climate change by optimising our operations and reducing environmental impact across all areas of ARPRO production. Our strategy combines voluntary initiatives, innovation, and compliance with environmental regulations.

Life Cycle Assessments (LCA)

JSP regularly conducts Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) to evaluate our environmental footprint and measure the impact of process optimisations and improvements.


The first ARPRO LCA was completed in 2011. A comparison with the latest results shows a 35% reduction in ARPRO’s carbon footprint.


LCA also confirms the benefits of using secondary raw materials in ARPRO Recycled. Mechanically recycled EPP has a lower carbon footprint than virgin material, supporting our commitment to circularity and sustainability.

    Energy Efficiency

    Energy consumption has been cut considerably since 2011 through process improvements and energy recovery. Since June 2020, all JSP operations are powered by 100% renewable electricity, significantly lowering our environmental impact compared to fossil fuel-based energy sources.

    Water Stewardship

    Water plays a key role in ARPRO production. In water-stressed regions, we are reducing water intensity using recycling systems and process optimisation, maintaining compliance with local environmental standards while conserving a vital resource.

    We are committed to improving our waste management practices. Building on our achievement of zero landfill waste, we are enhancing our sorting and recycling efforts to reduce our environmental footprint further and support a circular economy across all our operations.
